The reasons of too large submersible slurry pump power mainly include excessive packing compaction, friction in pump, the damage of bearing and too many pump roll. Solutions of the these reason are unscrewing packing gland bolt, adjusting the gap in pump, repairing or replacing damaged bearing, regulating the operation of pump.

The reasons that submersible slurry pump bearing fevers generally are due to lubricating oil and bearing, including not clean lubricating oil, or too much or too little lubricating oil in bearing damaged bearing. The main solutions are using clean lubricating oil, according to the requirements to add lubricating oil for bearing, repairing or replacing with a new bearing.
Submersible slurry pump bearing life is short.
Submersible slurry pump bearing short life is due to the friction in pump, unbalanced impeller, foreign body in bearing, unreasonably equipping bearing, or center shaft is tortuous. Solutions are adjusting impeller balance or replacing new impeller, clearing bearing foreign body, equipping bearing again, changing center shaft.
Maintenance
Submersible pumps are a relatively maintenance-free device. The motors in quality submersible pumps are encased in watertight housings. Some are equipped with overload sensors, that shut off the motor when it is at risk of overheating. Regular maintenance involves simple and periodic inspections of wires and lubricants. A quality submersible pump can be effective for over 10 years if maintained properly.
