Drilling fluid mud cleaner is the most familiar combination separator .In many cases, combinations of vibratory screening and settling/centrifugal force are used together to provide an effective separation. Mud cleaner is developed in the early 1970s to remove fine drilling fluid solids from weighted mud without excessive loss of barite and fluid. Drilling mud cleaner have also proved valuable tools in closed systems and other location applications. Mud cleaner use a combination of desilting hydrocyclones and very fine mesh vibrating screens (120-400 mesh) to remove fine drilled solids while returning valuable mud additives and liquids back to the active mud system.
Traditional drilling mud cleaner use multiple 4'' or 5'' cyclones, mounted over a vibrating screen, and are able to effectively process 400-600 GPM. Drilling mud cleaner process capacity is limited by screen capacity and its ability to discard solids. With the introduction of linear motion vibrating screens, the capacity of the mud cleaner has been greatly increased. This, in turn, allows the use of additional hydrocyclones and higher, overall process capabilities.
KOSUN QZS series high effective mud cleaner is the second or third stage separation equipment of drilling liquid, which will deal with the mud after being treated by the first grade separation equipment. The barite will be recovered and cuttings which are bigger than barite will be removed. Then the barite in the underflow will flow into circulation tanks through the screens when the weighted mud passes while the particles that are bigger than mesh will be removed.
