A great majority of drilling crew equip main motors about 18.5,22,37,45kw,and 1300-2200 r/min mid-speed centrifuge .At present ,drilling centrifuge has 2mainly products which is mid-speed and high-speed types .The rotate speed of mid-speed centrifuge is 1300—2200 r/min,produced about 800 times centrifugal force and capacity of 40-60 m3 / h of the centrifuge,this type can remove the solids phase particles of 5—7μm;the one of high speed centrifuge is 2500—3300r/min and produced 1200-2100 times gravity ，whose separation degree is 2—5μm,and the handling capacity can automatic adjust according to drilling fluids performance ，which can through the load to implement monitor and full frequency automatic closed-loop technology,well,it’s ideal purification equipment of solids control ;the other high-speed centrifuge is fixed rotational speed,the drilling fluids performance is judged by operators in order to achieve good effect of drilling fluids .

Drilling decanter centrifuge paly a very important role after handling .many drilling crew equip with 2 centrifuge ,but needing attention is that the two centrifuge have the similar technical characteristic(mid-speed centrifuge,different handling capacity sometimes),which should adopt parallel technical process in order to improve drilling fluids handling capacity .At present ,some companies have produced high-speed centrifuge which are full variable frequency control centrifuge ,This high-speed centrifuge must operated and maintained by special electrical engineer,in addition ,as well as high cost.but few domestic drilling crew equip with this type high-speed centrifuge .
